TSIS p87 #2

After looking back at an essay that I wrote, I noticed I have several arguments within it. I researched the two sides of technology such as emailing, texting, video chatting and watching television. Since I was writing a persuasive essay, I needed to provide my argument which was, with all of the advancements of technology, humans are losing the ability to communicate verbally- face to face, but also needed to provide counter-arguments to show some positives. I will admit that I was biased while writing it, primarily because the research I found was so aggressive and there was little researched work on the counter-arguments. After I finished my research, I thought about this essay and made my own objections and feelings about the topic, which just so happened to correspond to the original argument. I think that the use of a naysayer in the paper strengthens your argument, it allows the writer to be somewhat biased and note thier own opinions with qualified research to back it up. With a stronger argument and clear and concise objections, it allows the reader to judge your work and come up with their own opinions and conduct research of their own.
