Inquiry 76 #1
The media puts out a certain "so called look" for what is right and wrong in our society. It puts a model sense in everyone's mind and therefore everyone thinks that they too have to look and act that certain way as well. Magazines tell the reader thing such as, they are not thin enough, or prettier enough. And with constant advertisement and advise on how to fit this "so called look", the reader will do anything they have to. Readers believe just about anything that is in the articles they are reading, which in many cases are true, but in others can just be harmful. People that are considered not thin enough, may stop eating because they see that constant image of what they are suppose to look like, and will do whatever is necessary to look that way. And the only thing that is coming from that is harm to that individuals health. Magazines in a way can be informative but in another sense harmful to out society.
