Although some people would argue gay marriage is something that should not be questionable in, the sense that it should be illegal. I use E.D Hirsch's notion of cultural literacy to show that there is different ways to see a topic completely through. There are many different ways to look at a certain topic, and understand the true meaning behind it and both sides. People have freedom, and without being able to practice that freedom to the full potential. People should be able to marry who they want, without politicians giving them certain restrictions.
