Pg 156 #2
In Diamond's excerpt "Why Do Some Societies Make Disastrous Decisions", Diamond explains how people don't think a disaster is going to happen until it actually does. Most people have this thought that nothing bad can happen to me, and that's a common thought if nothing has happened yet. But the truth of the matter is that, bad things are not usually intentional and can happen at anytime. Therefore are usually unintentional and unavoidable. At some point, something will happen to everyone that will change your way of life, it was force people to change whether they are willing to or not. Diamond's opinion; people are trained to think innocently, that nothing can happen to them, and that's why when something happens it become a crisis.
